Grand Than is a musical project led by artist and creator Thanas Kas, exploring a free and hybrid sound inspired by travel, landscapes, and cultures from around the world. Grand Than develops immersive and atmospheric music, where cultural and musical influences intersect to create a singular sonic experience.

Constantly curious to experience the magic of sound through landscapes the world over, Grand Than is first and foremost inspired by nature as the cradle of his creations. A catalyst for these deep vibrations, he aspires to translate this primal essence through his instruments. Much inspired by Estas Tonne and Avi Adir, his primary tool is his guitar, with which he uses complex arpeggio techniques to create haunting melodies and rich sonic textures. He then embellishes these strings with a suave, generous voice that lulls us with poetry and sensitive stories written on the road. Although he starts out acoustic, he doesn't hesitate to spice up this flow with various electronic elements that open up the field of possibilities by forming immersive, vibrant landscapes. Finally, depending on where his experience with the audience takes him, he delicately drains his music with powerful rhythmic elements provoked by a fine flock of percussion instruments from the four corners of the globe. The free dance can then begin. Aware and attuned to each place in which he finds himself, his improvised music is both stimulating and relaxing, inviting the listener into a brilliant and singular meditative experience. Grand Than sees his performance as a boat, transporting us through various states of mind and linking our emotions, our bodies, to reach our innermost self.
